Trainer Bio Adam Roser

Adam Roser PTMeet our Personal Trainer Adam Roser who after a 50 kg weight loss decided to dedicate himself to helping others to do the same.

Successful weight loss journey

Adam Roser grew up in a small country town called Stanthorpe. As a child Adam was not your typical sports person, in school he was the bigger kid that got bullied, and when it came to being physically active the main things he did were school sports, swimming and bike riding.

The big change for Adam came when he decided to start training and lose weight, the first 12 week challenge he participated in he won the challenge by losing 21 kg! In total Adam has lost 50 kg, and it was after this that he started thinking of becoming a Personal Trainer.

Making his life change a career

After losing all that weight, Adam realised the change was not just superficial – he felt like a brand new person. People from his home town could no longer recognise him, he had the most energy he has ever had, and the best thing was that he had a new found confidence and passion for life. Seeing the changes in himself and being inspired from his own trainer, Adam decided to become a Personal Trainer to be able to help people change their lives the same way he did. Adam also has a Diploma in Youth Work and a Bachelor of Human Services, and combines Personal Training with a job as a Youth and Disability support worker.

Adam is a mobile Personal Trainer in Mango Hill on the north side of Brisbane, his training style is a mix of boot camp style sessions and fitness games, he aims for lots of variation and fun sessions. In his spare time Adam participates in anything given the opportunity; Bridge to Brisbane, Tough Mudder, hiking, trampolining, and rock climbing.

PT Adam RoserFive questions with Adam Roser:

1. What is your biggest achievement as a Personal Trainer?

As a trainer, there are two that stand out – clients who were having trouble conceiving and wanted to lose weight and that are now proud parents of a beautiful little three month old bundle of joy. Secondly, seeing another client going from a depressed stay at home mum who was very harsh on herself in everything she did. She now has the biggest passion for health, fitness and yoga, there was a stunning moment when I realised she didn’t need me anymore.

2. What is your most memorable training sessions?

There are many, I love the opportunity to invent fitness games and incorporating them into my boot camp style sessions for groups. At the end, everyone is sweaty, exhausted and have a smile on their face. Gotta love what you do! And of course, there are the occasional train the trainer sessions – some of my clients love the odd retribution!

3. What is your favourite exercise as a trainer?

I’ve got to say box jumps. I can’t look at seats, walls, ledges and fences without thinking of them being the perfect location to feel that lactic acid build up.

4. What is your favourite exercise or sport outside of work?

Since I was a kid, I love the beach on weekends, hill sprints in the sand dunes and swimming to cool off. A total body workout with a mental recharge for the work week.

5. What is your favourite quote?

Your present circumstances don’t determine where you go; they merely determine where you start. – Nido Qubein.
