North Lakes Franchisee and Personal Trainer

Meet our newest franchJimmy Morris Personal Trainerisee Jimmy Morris! Jimmy is based in North Lakes located on the north side of Brisbane. Jimmy’s always been a hard worker and has had a range of different jobs as soon as he was able to legally start working. He never really found anything he felt passionate about, until he found his passion for fitness. Previously, Jimmy had LIKED his jobs, but not LOVED them. With Personal Training he felt it was something he could do for the rest of his life! Jimmy’s favourite part of being a Personal Trainer is making a difference in his client’s lives, even if it’s only a little push they need. As long as he knows he’s helped even a little bit, makes the job worth doing.

Jimmy says:

I love training clients! Why would I not want to pass on my knowledge and experience to other people, to help them better themselves?

Loving his new career

Jimmy’s love for health and fitness started after he finished high school. This was when Jimmy made a conscious decision to make a difference to his health and started working out. He has never looked back since! Even though he wasn’t exactly a sporty child growing up, Jimmy took part in Hsou Jing Do, a martial art combining Karate and Tae Kwon Do. One of his biggest accomplishments is getting a black belt and teaching himself how to do a back flip! From these experiences, Jimmy’s learned that it takes a lot of time, patience and consistency to achieve his goals, whatever they may be. Jimmy describes his training style as REAL. He always wants to choose a work out style suited to the client, making sure they get a challenging session for their level and abilities. Jimmy’s sessions are always specifically designed to the client’s needs and goals. This is a principle all Fitness Enhancement Trainers follow!North Lakes Personal Trainer

5 questions with Jimmy:

1.What is your biggest achievement as a Personal Trainer?

As a Trainer obviously having clients achieve their goal is the best feeling, but what got to me was when a client opens up about themselves on a personal level. It means they trust you with everything.

2.What is your most memorable training session?

My most memorable session is when my client couldn’t find motivation to train one morning, so we went for a walk instead and by the end of it she gave me a piggy back all the way home!

3.What is your favourite exercise as a Trainer?

Burpees! Haha nah – No one likes burpees! My favourite exercise is plank or anything to do with bracing. Let’s face it, the core is pretty much the corset of the body.

4.What is your favourite exercise or sport outside of work?

Dancing, I know it’s not running or weight lifting, but it takes some serious coordination, focus and determination. Plus you’ll get a serious sweat on.

North Lakes PT5.What is your favourite quote?

Always be the best YOU that you can be.
