The closer to summer we get, the more hours of daylight we get, and that means it is easier to find time for exercise! Head out in the morning before work for a power walk, run or ride, or do a workout in the park close to home. If you are not a morning person, there is now also daylight when you finish work so get out there and don’t miss out!

2. Stress

You might be feeling the pressure of swimwear season and starting to get a bit stressed about it all. Well luckily, movement melts away stress! Physical activity releases endorphins that give you the feel-good feelings, and exercise can also help you relax and sleep better.

3. Water

We say this a lot, but it is very important! With the heat you’ve got to up the water intake, otherwise, your workouts are going to do more harm than good.

If you think drinking water is boring, hydrate while eating is also a way! Eat your water by having fruit and vegetables with high water content, like watermelon, pineapple, spinach and cucumber. This way you are getting the added benefits of a higher vitamin intake as well!

5. Resolutions

It is a while since you set your New Year’s resolutions, do you remember them? We think it’s time to revisit and evaluate where you are up to, even if you haven’t fully succeeded with this year’s resolutions, it is good to have a think about it and try to get back on track. Then you are more likely to stick with next year’s resolutions that are not that far away!

6. Have fun

Warmer weather, more hours of daylight, holiday times coming up – remember to have fun! Do fun workouts with family or friends, play sports, go for a swim!
