Laura and Jarrah started Personal Training a couple years ago and continued on once they found out Laura was pregnant with their first child. Their main goal was to gain strength and assist Laura pre and post birth of their bub. They wanted to find somewhere they would feel more comfortable at than a sweaty, overcrowded gym. Finding our 100% private mobile Personal Training sessions, was the perfect solution for them! Training outside in the fresh air, at their local park felt like a better option than being indoors with heaps of other people around. They also liked the idea of mobile training, when the trainer comes to them and they don’t have to drive to the gym on the busy roads wasting time in traffic. If it rains, their Personal Trainer Maria will come to their house, so they never have to skip a session!

Getting ready for the baby

Laura and Jarrah currently train twice per week in their local park close to their house. They both love their training sessions and a lot feel stronger, more flexible and overall fitter than when they first started! Laura enjoys working on her upper body strength, which she finds beneficial for when the baby comes. Getting the baby in and out of the pram will be much easier with strong arms, core and upper body. Personal Trainer Maria has even come up with a specific exercise for this purpose that she calls: “Get Bub in and out of the pram”! Both Jarrah and Laura enjoy a fast-paced boxing session and getting a sweat up. Personal Trainer Maria is always coming up with new exercises for them to try and adapting everything to suit their level and injuries. Laura’s growing tummy, doesn’t mean that she can’t enjoy safe and effective training with a knowledgeable Personal Trainer!

With Maria’s experience and knowledge, Laura has been able to strengthen and prepare her body for the upcoming labour. Specific pelvic floor and hip exercises are highly important to prevent any future issues, and Personal Trainer Maria makes sure that they are done safely! While Laura conducts her pelvic floor targeted exercises, Maria gets Jarrah to work on his core. Suffering from lower back issues prior to their training with Maria, it’s important that Jarrah has a strong core to help him get through his day better. After the child arrives, both Laura and Jarrah want to continue to build up their strength.

Future goals:

After the birth of our child we will continue to target strength, but will look to lose some weight as well.
