Sandi decided early in 2016 to start personal training as a spur of the moment decision. She wanted to lose weight and feel more confident in herself. She struggled with low self-esteem and wanted to improve that through making positive life and body image changes. Sandi’s specific goal was to fit into a size 12 dress from a size 16 and to look good on a trip to Bali for her 50th Birthday. Sandi says “That’s right I’m 50!!! I have proved that age is just a number.”

Sticking with it

Sandi started training with her Personal Trainer Jimmy back in January and has stuck with it for over 6 months now, and she says she has never stuck with anything in her life.

Sandi enjoys Jimmy’s singing during Training sessions. Like most of us she’s not a huge fan of the early morning wake-ups, but then when she’s finished Training she feels fantastic!

A side benefit of Training that wasn’t even on her list of goals, is that she can now run – which she never thought she could before. Sandi has found that Training is not just about the number on the scale, but improved health, fitness and self-image are among the many additional benefits. Sandi says she is still seeking the size 12, but is confident it will happen before the end of the year. Her biggest goal now is to incorporate a better nutrition plan with her training.

Least favourite exercise

Dips. I know it’s for my arm strength but it still hurts!!!
